“Twilight” Is One of 2009’s Top Five Most Illegally Downloaded Movies

I don’t think this is a good thing by all means, but it still makes us buzz worthy, right? But as previously reported, you can see how these things can go badly. According to the BBC, Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight was one of this year’s top 5 illegally downloaded movies.

Among the top five most pirated movies of the year is Twilight, according to the BBC. The film is joined by Star Trek, Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, The Hangover, and RocknRolla on that list. Other films which were heavily pirated this year included Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and District 9.

While, from the looks of this list (and a scan of their situation in this year’s box office), pirating did not hinder a strong showing theater sales, it’s still not the most settling news that illegal downloading is one of the lists which Twilight tops this year. Though, it does speak highly of the interest surrounding the film .

While I’m not celebrating or condoning this by any means(you all know how I feel about bootlegs, they are the worse.) It just proves how hot our little saga is! But in the future, don’t risk getting busted by the powers that be. Besides team Jacob nor team Edward thinks it hot to pirate, just save up your pennies, and see the movie 6 times like I did. :)
